Our Rooms – Chicks approx. 3-18m/ Ducklings approx. 18m-2.5 yrs, Lambs 2.5 - 3.5 yrs- and Alpacas 3.5 – school
Our baby and toddler areas are situated in the main nursery building – Chicks are upstairs and Ducklings downstairs. The rooms are linked and specifically designed to meet the needs of children from 3 months up to approx. 2.5 years. There are dedicated sleep rooms and two ateliers. Both Chicks and Ducklings have their own separate gardens.

Each area provides the appropriate resources and equipment for all children in accordance with their individual age and stage. As much as possible we take the babies and toddlers to learn outdoors and encouraged them to enjoy the garden and animals.  From the age of two they will have sessions downstairs and start interacting with the pre-school children.

Settling in / routine:

Our baby room staff team will warmly welcome you and your child. We fully appreciate that the initial days and weeks leaving your child can be emotionally challenging. Your child will be allocated a key worker. We believe a good attachment is essential at this age, promoting emotional stability, health and wellbeing to both you and your child.  We will happily follow your home routine. We keep daily dairies and take photos to help document your child’s development and have weekly reflection meetings to help plan the following week. At the end of the nursery day your key worker will share this information with you. Learning journals are accessed through a secure online system ‘Tapestry’ accessible only to yourselves and staff.
