The role of the Atelierista at the Old Dairy Farm Nursery

My role as the Atelierista is to inspire creativity, curiosity, imagination, exploration and experimentation using various art forms such as music,painting,dance,drawing and sculpting -to name a few.

Creative arts allows children to be free to express themselves in different ways and celebrates the fact that we are all unique.

Over the past few weeks I have been enjoying getting to know the children and learning about their interests. They have been busy interacting with, and exploring light and shadow, the colour and texture of paints, sand art, and drawing with charcoal. I have lots of ideas in my head but am now looking forward to letting the children take the lead and to joining them on their creative journey.
